I agree that a restaurants POS system plays a large part in service and speed. I also agree that it is hard to choose the "best" POS system because all can prove beneficial for different restaurants. A restaurant that changes its menu every week or everyday would need a system that can be easily altered.
I am not sure about how the time management function would work though. It seems impossible for a system to know when to fire tables even out of time averages. I think the biggest help with efficient take out and roadside service would be if the system made all outlets, in house dining, take out and special menus easily and quickly accessible.
